The Certified Instructor Mentor Program

was designed by ILP Training Division director Joe Comeau, who has been told time and time again… “I’m so glad I took the PESL workshop, but I wish I had someone to bounce my ideas off of… just to make sure I’m doing everything right… someone to walk me through the specific steps…”


This course consists of 10 weeks devoted to your plans, your ideas, your business.
No more excuses for not getting started… not moving ahead.

Created to respond to the demand of ILP workshop participants
around the country, this program is so much more than
“how to use the P-ESL method.”

It aims to be everything you need to, want to, and must know
to use the P-ESL method and materials as a foundation for your
successful consulting/training practice.

Meet with me for 5 scheduled information-packed sessions
during which you’ll be equipped with a wealth of
knowledge, tools and strategies that just may propel
you from being a “past workshop participant” to becoming
an “active trainer.”


How It Works

The CIMP is a unique opportunity to work almost exclusively with me,
ILP Training Director, Joe Comeau, M.S., CCC-SLP
(your workshop leader if you’ve taken the Certification Workshop since
January 2008) on the application, design, and spring-boarding of the
tools and ideas you acquired at the certification workshop.

If you register for the CIMP, you’re going to find out what’s really possible,
and be put to the test. You’ll be given detailed instructions, answers,
suggestions, recommendations, and warnings (when appropriate) regarding
how to use your unique skill set to attract paying clients.

Since I consider the P-ESL program to be the best “foundation”
(and we all know how important
a foundation is for any structure),
of an active accent instruction service delivery business,
I’m going to hand you the tools, nails,
and plans you’ll need to start
building the rest of your business structure.

You can provide outstanding value, learning experiences, and results with
the P-ESL Accent Modification method. Keeping your services in sync with the
demands of today’s business professional – especially when they may be your very
first non-clinical clients – can be a challenge.

There is, however, a blueprint. A plan.

Based on my own successful experiences with my paying (and thrilled) clients,
I’m 100% confident that you will know every practical option and strategy
that can be used to begin generating income using accent modification
instruction services.

I also know that no two individuals will experience the same results
because we’ll be starting with your current situation and building upon it.
Each group participant will not just passively learn from me.
You will each learn from each other, and I’m probably going to learn a
thing or two from each of you.

Plus – in addition to the scheduled group classes, you’ll get one
private and exclusive session with me as part of the course. It’s
built in.

Requirements

The essential pre-requisite is completion of the PESL Certification workshop.

Additionally, to take advantage of these mentoring possibilities each participant will also be asked
to honor the following qualifiers:

1. You’ll have to be honest, open and sharing. Serious business
operators are not driven by fear (fear of having their ideas stolen,
fear of appearing less informed than others, fear of appearing
inexperienced, fear of….). They are driven by carefully designed
goals and a relentless desire to create a reality out of the
ideas that swim around in their heads. If I’m going to help you
put it all into place, you’ll have to respond to some provocative
questions and ideas during our small group sessions. Certain things
are never going to happen if you do not layout the plans and begin
taking the right steps.

2. You’ll have to be comfortable with your computer and open to
trying new technology. (The technology may not actually be new,
but only new to you.) A survey conducted by ILP-TD revealed high levels of
interest
AND apprehension in applying web-based technology. Apprehension,
by the way, is another word for fear. So let’s face that fear.
CIMP sessions are going to meet using a combination of telephone
and internet access. By participating, you’ll be learning about online
(web-based) training options that you might start using in your own business.
(Think Ooovoo, Skype, Vyew, Fuze, and other web-based collaboration
tools you may not have heard of yet.) You’ll be given clear and thorough instructions
that will make your participation in our telephone and web-based conference sessions
very simple.

“Will I need a webcam?”

No, but you may extract a lot more value out of the course if you have one.

3. You’ll have to start thinking and playing a little bigger than you
have been. (Was that provocative? We’re just getting started!)
You might be one of the so many, many trained, prepared professionals
I’ve met as I’ve certified around the US and in Canada who has decided
up until now that that they are still not ready, still unsure,
still not yet truly prepared. If you’re reading this far,
that just simply isn’t true. You are ready, and there’s never
been a better time.

4. You must to be willing to be held accountable. You’re going to create
plans and goals. You’re going to be pointed in the right direction.
You’re going to be given deadlines and asked to report on your progress.
To up my own ante, I’ll be sharing my own business plans and actions with you.
My business and the ideas I use to generate relevant and valuable
services are constantly evolving. As a participant in the CIMP you’ll know
what I’ve been up to with my own clients, prospects, and training ideas, and
I’ll be sharing my own accountability reports with you as we  complete
the program schedule. We’ll be in this together, and I’ll be
sharing everything I know about what works what hasn’t.

(*the “60-minute” sessions frequently run way past the 1-hour mark
because of the momentum generated by each session, but no one seems
to mind.)

To keep the CIMP highly effective, I can only offer this personal-level
assistance to small groups of professionals in size-limited classes.
Mentor groups will not be larger than 5 – including me. That means 4
professionals at a time will consult with me in each scheduled
Gear-up sessions.
