At the Institute of Language & Phonology, we’re always looking for ways to better support instructors who are building their skills and creating real opportunities with the P-ESL method. One of the simplest ways to increase your visibility as an instructor is by taking advantage of the Trainer Directory at 800-language.com — and we’ve made some improvements.
If you’re a current P-ESL course student or enrolled in the Refresher Bundle, you are eligible to create your own listing in the Directory.
That means your information can appear publicly online as part of the growing network of instructors using the P-ESL method.
What Your Listing Can Include
Your directory profile is more than just your name and email. You can create a genuine online presence that reflects your business and the services you offer.
Each listing can now include:
- Two photos or images
(Use a professional headshot, logo, workspace photo, or service graphic) - A detailed description of your services
Explain who you work with, your teaching style, specialties, and how clients can benefit from working with you. - Direct contact form
Visitors can contact you directly from your listing page.
If someone wants to send you an email through your listing, the process is protected through Google reCAPTCHA, which helps prevent spam and unwanted automated messages.
That means legitimate inquiries, and no junk emails.
Why This Matters
A directory listing gives you something many instructors overlook: a stronger online presence.
Your listing points people to your services. If you have your own website, you can include a link back to it, which helps strengthen your visibility online and supports your broader marketing efforts.
If you don’t have a website yet, your listing can still serve as a simple online business profile that prospective clients can discover.
This matters because many successful instructors find clients through search, referrals, and social sharing. The directory supports all three.
Listing Expiration and Renewals
To keep the Trainer Directory current and useful, listings now expire after 180 days.
That may sound short — but it’s intentional.
An active directory only works when listings are current. Expiration helps remove outdated contact information and keeps the directory relevant for prospective clients.
The good news:
You may update or renew your listing anytime during your active membership.
That means you can revise your description, update photos, change your website link, or refresh your contact information whenever needed.
Use It. Don’t Leave It Empty.
If you’re certified or actively completing your training, don’t let the directory sit unused.
Create your listing. Give people a way to find you. Build a larger digital presence for your services.
This is one of the easiest steps you can take toward turning your certification into something practical: visibility, credibility, and eventually, paying clients.
We’re excited to continue improving resources that help instructors succeed — and the Trainer Directory is one of them.
If you haven’t added your listing yet, now is the perfect time.
See you in the Directory.
